We make sure it's all fun and games

We combine video game entertainment with brain assessment.

What we do

We combine Video Game entertainment with Cognitive Assessment. Gnous’s video games assess and create a map of brain cognitive abilities. While a child plays and has fun, we measure certain brain parameters that, as our research has shown, are related to her/his potential to learn, the capacity of her/his visual and auditory memory, speed of thinking, abilities to plan and execute tasks and many others.

The science of Gnous

The abilities tested by Gnous, have been scientifically validated (for ages 6-12) for their capability to predict Dyslexia and other learning difficulties, as well as to predict the overall learning abilities of a specific child.

The cognitive abilities tested by Gnous are the following:

Auditory Memory
Includes the amount of heard information that can be retained and the ability to recall a sequence of auditorily presented stimuli.

Visual Memory
Ability to recall a sequence of visually presented stimuli or the ability to recall a dominant feature of a stimulus.

Auditory Discrimination
Ability to identify the presence of a given sound in a sequence of sounds and the ability to differentiate among similar sounds.

Auditory-Visual Discrimination
Ability to establish relationships between heard signals and graphic representations of these signals or the ability to match serially presented visual stimuli with auditory counterparts.
Left-Right Awareness
The ability to tell left from right and be aware at all times where is left and where is right. Also seen as a left-right directional orientation with reference to the hypothetical vertical midline of the body.

Sequencing
The ability to process structured sequences of events and actions what has a fundamental importance for intelligent cognition and action.

Categorization
Ability to group the stimuli into categories based on prototypes, usually for some specific purpose.
